How To Reuse a Contract, Invoice, or Other Document

Follow these steps to reuse a contract, invoice, or another document as a template for future clients.

This article covers how to take a contract, invoice, or other document that you’ve already created for a client and reuse it again for future clients by turning it into a template.

Step 1: Go to the Document that You Want to Reuse

  • Go to the Recent Documents section of your Documents page.

  • Hover over the document that you’d like to reuse and click on the Three-Dot icon.

  • From the drop-down list, click on the Make Template item.

  • A Make Template box will pop up. Click on the Yes, Create a Template button to proceed.

Step 2: Create a Document Using Your New Template

  • To create a new document using your template, go to the Create a Document section on your Documents page.

  • Hover over the template you want to use for your new document and click on Create.

  • From there, add your client information when prompted. After that, your new document will load in the Document Builder, ready for you to edit and send.
