This is an article about creating and sending an invoice to a client. For help on resending an invoice, editing an invoice, or more topics, please see the Related Articles Section.
Note: You will need to set up a Payment Gateway via Stripe or PayPal in order to collect online payments from your clients. Go to this article section for more information.
Step 1: Create an Invoice
Go to your Documents page. From the Documents tab, hover over “Basic Invoice” and click Create.
Alternatively, go to the Invoices tab, and click on the + New Invoice button.
Step 2: Add Your Client to Your Invoice
Once your invoice has been created, you will be prompted to Add the Client’s Email and Name that you want to send the invoice to.
Click Continue after adding your client’s information.
Step 3: Complete Your Line Items
On your invoice, fill out the line item’s Description, Quantity, and Unit Price. Your Line Total will automatically be calculated.
To add a line, hover over the product line and click on Add Line Item. To delete a line, hover over the product line and click on the trash can icon.
Line items help you describe and break down the prices for the products or services you offer.
For example, a line item on a wedding shoot invoice may look something like this:Description: Wedding Shoot for 8 hours
Quantity: 8 (to charge by the hour)
Unit Price: $250.00
Line Total: $2,000.00
Step 4: Go to Review & Share
Once you have finalized the details of your invoice, click on the Next button in the upper right corner.
Step 5: Verify Your Invoice Details and Send
On Review & Share, you can add an optional message for your client.
Double check all of the additional details to make sure they are correct.
Once you are sure your invoice is ready, click the green Share button located in the top right corner.
A box will pop up confirming the invoice has been sent to your client’s email.
Step 6: Enable Online Payments
To enable an online payment method, go to your Studio Manager Dashboard.
Click on the More tab. From the drop-down list, click on Payment Settings.
Make sure to enable at least one of the methods in the Payment Methods section.
