This article discusses the Schedule section settings for a job type (from the Add/Edit Job Type box).
Through these settings, you can control things like allowing for bookings only with a set amount of time, set a max number of bookings per day/week, and more.
Access The Job Type Settings
To access these settings, go to the Studio Manager Dashboard.
Click on the Bookings drop-down menu tab, then choose Job Types.
To add a job type, click on the Add Job Type button.
To edit a job type, hover over the upper right corner of a Job Type and click on the three-dot icon. From the drop-down menu, click on Edit.
Booking Window
The Booking Window helps you control whether clients can book as much as they want, or if they’re limited to a set number of bookings.
The No Limit is the default option and allows you to get as many bookings as you like.
The Fixed Date allows you to set a limited date range (e.g., 04/13/25 to 04/18/25) for bookings by typing in or selecting a date from the Start Date and End Date fields. No bookings will be allowed after the end date.
The Rolling Window option sets the number of days (including today) when the schedule window is completely open. This prevents clients from booking too far into your schedule.
Limit Bookings By Day or Week
If you don’t want to limit your bookings by date range or number of days, then you can set a max number of bookings per week or per day.
Go to the Max Bookings section and type in a number in the Per Day field or Per Week field (e.g., 10).
Once the max number has been reached, no more bookings will be allowed for that day or week.
Limit Bookings In Advance
You can also allow bookings only if a certain number of hours are available in the schedule.
Go to the Advance section and in the # Hours field, type in the number of hours (e.g., 2) that should be available in order to schedule a booking.
Manage Booking Start Times or Buffer Time
To set a start time incrementally (e.g., every 30 minutes on your schedule):
Choose a number from the Booking Increment drop-down list (15, 30, or 60).
To set a buffer time before and after each booking, go to the Buffer section.
Type in the number of minutes in the Minutes Before & After field that you want to buffer for.
If you type in 5, then your bookings will have a 5 minute buffer before and after the booking.
Remember To Save Your Changes
Click on the Save Job Type button when you’re done making changes.
