Lightfolio offers two payment plans by default, but you can also create your own payment plans.
For example, let’s walk through the steps on how to create a payment plan for the first payment of 30% upon agreement, and a second payment of 70% due two weeks after the project.
Step 1: Go To the Payment Settings
Go to your Studio Manager Dashboard, then click on the More tab.
From the drop-down list, click on Payment Settings.
Step 2: Go To The Payment Plans Section
On the Payment Settings page, scroll down to the Payment Plans section and click on the + New Plan button.
An Add/Edit Payment Plan box will appear.
Step 3: Give Your Payment Plan a Name
In the Add/Edit Payment Plan box, you will see the default name My Payment Plan in the Payment Plan name field.
At any time, you can edit this name to anything you want. For this article, our payment plan name is “30 Now | Balance Due After Event”.
Once you’re done, click on the Save button.
Step 4: Add The Payment Plan Items
After saving the name of your payment plan, it will appear in the Payment Plans section.
Click on the blue Add a Plan Item text next to your new payment plan.
An Add/Edit Plan Items box will pop up.
Step 5: Enter The Details For Row #1
In the Add/Edit Plan items box, you can:
Click on the When dropdown list and choose when the payment is due.
For our plan example, we'll select Upon Agreement.
For Payment Type, select Percentage or a Fixed Amount.
For our plan example, we'll select Percentage.
Type in the payment Amount.
For our example, we'll enter 30.00.
Step 6: Add a Payment Plan Row
To add a row, hover under Row #1 and click on the circled plus icon.
Once the row is added, select or enter the information for when the payment is due, the payment type, and the amount.
Repeat this step to add all the rows you need.
After adding all of the plan details, click on the Save Changes button.
Your new payment plan will appear in your settings.
For Row #2 of our “30 Now | Balance Due After Event” plan, we'll select Two Weeks After Project Date for when the payment is due, select Percentage again, and enter the Amount as 70.00.
