If you’ve downloaded and installed our plug-in to Lightroom Classic on your device, now you need to set up Lightroom in order to upload your images.
The plugin is a Publish Service, so keep that in mind as we go through the following steps.
Step 1: Sync Your Lightfolio Galleries To Lightroom
Go to the left panel in Lightroom. Double-click the Lightfolio Service plug-in in the Publish Services list.
Alternatively, you can right-click Lightfolio Service and click on Edit Settings… in the menu.
From the Lightroom Publishing Manager box, enter in your Lightfolio Account details. Click on the Login button.
Make sure the Sync Galleries and Folders checkbox is selected, then click on the Save button.
Lightroom will retrieve the gallery file structure from Lightfolio. When it's complete, click on the OK button on the dialog box.
Note: After syncing for the first time, you will see galleries and folders from your Lightfolio account, but not the images from those galleries. Only images that have been published through Lightfolio's Lightroom plug-in will be visible.
Step 2: Re-Sync Lightroom To Lightfolio
After the galleries and file structure have been imported, click on and expand the Lightfolio Plug-In on the left panel. You should be able to see all of your galleries from Lightfolio.
In order to publish images, you need to sync Lightroom with your Lightfolio account.
Double-click on the Lightfolio Service plug-in from the Publish Services list again.
Click on the Sync Now! Button from the Lightroom Publishing Manager box.
After the gallery retrieval loading bar and gallery import confirmation dialog boxes appear, click on the Save button.
After resyncing your Lightfolio account, you’re ready to move on to the final step: adding and publishing images.
Step 3: Publish Your Images Through Lightroom
Go to the gallery under the Lightfolio Service that you want to publish images to
Click on the drop-down arrow next to the gallery name. Your gallery's folders (e.g., the Images folder) should appear.
Select the images in Lightroom that you want to publish to your Lightfolio gallery.
Drag-and-drop the selected images into one of the gallery folders (e.g., the Images folder) that they should be added to.
After adding your images to your gallery folder, click on the Publish button in the upper right corner.
Alternatively, right-click on the folder and click on Publish Now in the menu.
In the upper left-hand corner, Lightroom will display a loading bar with the message Uploading Published Collections.
If you return to your gallery in Lightfolio, you will see the images slowly being published. Refresh the page in order to view the status of the upload.
