Adding a Yahoo email account is a little bit different than adding other email providers. While there are a few more steps involved, they are clearly laid out below. If you have any issues along the way, feel free to reach out!
Step 1: Go to Your Yahoo Account
Go to the main page of your Yahoo account. Click your Profile Info and select Settings.
Step 2: Go to Account Security Settings
Go to your Account Security Settings and scroll to the bottom of the page. Click Generate app password.
Step 3: Select Your App
An App Passwords box should pop up. Choose Other App from the drop-down list.
From there, you can enter a custom name, like “Lightfolio”. Click on the Generate button.
Step 4: Copy the Generated Password
Copy the generated password and follow the instructions on the box. Log back into your Lightfolio account.
Step 5: Paste the Password and Test Your Connection
Inside the About Me + Email settings, click on the Add/Edit Email Account button. An Add/Edit Email Account box will appear.
On the Email Provider drop-down list, select Yahoo.
In the Email Address field, enter in your full email address.
Paste the auto-generated password inside the Password field.
Select the Use This Account to Send Email checkbox if you want to send outgoing emails from your Yahoo email address without leaving the Lightfolio platform.
From there, press Test Connection. If the connection is a success, then click the Save button. Your Yahoo email account is now connected.
